After an electrical fire they did a poor job cleaning the house, employees threw away pictures of my kids and either stole or tossed an antique shelf, an entertainment center and some items of our property without permission. Representatives did NOT work well with the insurance company. I give them ZERO STARS but had to give them 1 to post my comment. Would NOT recommend.
At little old Merryville High School, our high school wing of 9 classrooms flooded during the deluge of April 9-10 (no school either day due to weather). When my Principal walked through on April 10 to assess, she texted to let us know that we had a couple of inches of standing water in almost every room, and that anything on the floor was probably a loss. She also let us know that the plan for April 11 was all hands on deck to clean the rooms out, so dress accordingly. She also told us that Putman Restoration would be there through the night of April 10 to get the water out first. The prospect of once again hauling wet ruined stuff out was not a fun thought, but as teachers we do what we have to do, and we were glad that a professional was at least taking care of the water. So. Putman Restoration did come in at 7:30pm on April 10, and we got to work 12 hours later, all of us with rubber boots expecting to trudge through floating papers and disgusting muck. When we walked in, the furniture had all been put on little blocks, floors were DRY (25,000 gallons removed), huge dehumidifiers were drying out papers, books, and such that had been soaked, and large fans were moving everything around to optimize the dehumidifiers. The Putman staff had worked through the night to get this done for us. It was almost overwhelming to see how much we DIDN'T have to do! I can't explain what that does for teacher morale. It's now the end of the work day, and Putman experts have located moisture and mold in the walls, identified major sources of the flooding, brought in their cleaning crew to do even more... and the whole time they've been continously repositioning furniture and wet items to maximize the work of the dehumidifiers. And amid all this big work they did through the night and today, someone took the time to secure some paper lanterns that are special to me so they wouldn't blow around and get damaged. The Putman staff have been professional, courteous, KIND, detail-oriented, and thoughtful, as well as willing to take time to explain things to me, and I'm just a teacher, not someone who will make decisions about hiring them again. I believe Putman saved this building. I hope that they will advise our Parish decision-makers (our Superintendent is the one who called them in, probably at the request of my Principal) as to what structural changes and maintenance practices will help us prevent another such occurrence. I don't wish flooding or mold or fire on anyone, but if it happens, Putman Restoration does more than clean it. They take a great deal of care, they go above and beyond what one would expect, and they educate the client about follow-up and prevention. I'd 100% recommend this company, and we're only 22 hours into a 3-day restoration. They are fantastic!
We came into a flooded office one morning, called Putman and they were here with an army in about 90 minutes. They immediately got to work and had the office dry in about 2 hours. Cleanup took a little longer, but they were all very nice, courteous, and professional. I HIGHLY recommend!!
